To All Members
I have spoken to the RAA in regards to the cessation of the EC Interest
Rate Subsidy for Small Business - which is planned for September 2008.
The basic outcome is: If our members feel they are still in difficult
financial circumstances because of the ongoing drought & are likely to
be in similar or possibly a worse financial situation this year & next,
we should lobby State & Federal Members & Ministers - now, for an extension.
Would you mind forwarding this message onto all members, to ask if they
would like the executive to lobby on their behalf on this matter. Time
is of the essence as the Federal budget is being formulated now.
The executive will formulate a letter that will be posted in the members
section of the web site so members can download it, fill in a few
details, sign it & then post it off to your State & Federal member & the
Federal Ag Minister.
Would all members respond to this request by the end of the week - please!
